2011 - our 25th year

We have been fortunate enough to have had some really fascinating projects again this year - our 25th.

  • One of our most interesting projects for 2010/2011 has been our hydrological studies and monitoring for the West London Mental Health Trust at Broadmoor Hospital in Berkshire. Here we undertook hydrological and hydrogeological desk studies and monthly hydrochemical and flow monitoring of streams to enable hydro-ecological impact assessment on the adjacent Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area (SPA) and to support sustainable drainage for this major redevelopment.

  • Ecological and hydro-ecological impact assessments for a large nursing home adjacent to the Thames Basin Heaths SPA.
  • Ecological and arboricultural assessments and habitat and tree protection schemes for a major housing development within the South Downs National Park.

  • An appeal against imposition of a Tree Preservation Order on a housing site.

  • Development of a reptile translocation and mitigation scheme for a retirement scheme including collection and relocation of lizards and slow worms.

  • Further to our work on a major new hotel development, successfully in operation, we have now been engaged to develop an ecological habitat and reptile translocation scheme for an extension to the hotel including management of our on site chalkland nature reserve.

  • Another very interesting project this time for nature conservation management has been our hydrological studies including a scheme of water quality monitoring of a National Nature Reserve on the coast in Hampshire.

    and many more.
