On Tuesday, 3rd October 2000, the Goodwood Estate Co. Ltd won planning approval from West Sussex County Council for their application for gravel extraction at Westhampnett, Nr Chichester, West Sussex. We congratulate the Estate on their success and are proud to have prepared the Environmental Statement for the project. The team included Nigel Draffan, Land Agent and Director for the Goodwood Estate and Richard Cresswell of Cluttons, London as well as experts in Environmental, Landscape, Soil, Ecology, Archaeology and Cultural Heritage (ourselves as well as preparing the Environmental Statement), Mineral Planning and Development, Groundwater and Hydrogeology, Traffic and Noise. We are now working on the next application for the site (once the gravel is extracted) which is the BMW planning application for the new Rolls Royce Assembly Plant. In this instance the team is being led by BMW, architects Nicholas Grimshaw and Partners and planning consultants Terence O'Rourke. Watch this space for regular updates. |
